By Barbara Kent (aka Marci Blaise)

Come Summertime, the eyes of the world are on The Hamptons. We have it all. Broad expanses of sugar sand beach, crashing surf, jet-skiing, parasailing, horseback riding, art, culture, hot/cool music and a wide variety of outstanding food choices. Additionally, proximity to New York City makes the Hamptons and the remainder of Eastern Long Island the premier vacation spot for some of the most interesting and famous people in the world. Whether you are here for a weekend or the whole summer, the best way to start your day is on the beach with icy mimosas. Then ease your sunburned body into a cool pub for lunch before shopping on Jobís lane or Main Street in the afternoon. Dinner at sunset and dancing all night are considered the proper preparation for the following dayís activities. Which may include a concert, an art show, hiking in the wilderness, fishing off Montauk or touring the wineries.

As a matter of fact, there is SO much to do and see in the Hamptons and on the East End, that you will never run out of places to go or things to do, and the only reason to eat in the same restaurant twice is because you love it. Here we submit a small sampling of any dayís worth of people, places and events, but by no means is this the whole chimichanga!
